LARPing Decision Design Agency: Design meeting 19/11
This week we reached a milestone in the development of the major Live Action Role Play event that will be held online and in person in March-June 2026. We have at last decided what kind of administrative decision our fictional decision system – which will be designed by LARPing a participatory co-design process – will be tasked with making! This leap forward was made possible through the Research Direction Collective who welcomed Dr Alexandra Sinclair (Sydney) to the process.
LARP and Smart Environments: a conversation with Lynne Falconer
The participatory system co-design LARP we are currently developing will be set in a sensor-enabled ‘smart environment’. We wanted to find out more about these contexts and their challenges, so we met with Lynne Falconer (Stirling) for a fascinating chat about her research on smart aquaculture and ‘precision farming’.

On 5 November we held the second meeting of the Future of Good Decisions Government and Civil Society consultation. At the AHRC-funded session, Connal Parsley, Conor Heaney, and Ruth Catlow presented an outline of themes from the first consultation meeting.
