Government and Civil Society Consultation
This week we held our first Government and Civil Society consultation meeting – with help from an AHRC Impact Accelerator Account award. Through a series of small-group discussions under Chatham House rules, we explored current impacts of algorithmic decision automation. We also found time for all-important speculative discussions about potential futures. We're thrilled that the group included people from across different agencies and organisations, representing a wide range of perspectives. We're already looking forward to drawing out insights from the session for the Future of Good Decisions' upcoming Live Action Role Play, which will explore decision system participatory co-design in government. We will welcome members of the group back for a follow-up session, later this year.
If you're working in government decision automation and interested in holistic and creative approaches to rethinking system design, review and evaluation, then please don't hesitate to get in touch with us!
